Film society movement pioneer Khasru passes away

Muhammad Khasru, who pioneered the film society movement in Bangladesh, passed away at city's BIRDEM Hospital at 1pm on Tuesday, reports bdnews24.com.
He was over 70.
Belayet Hossain Mamun, president of Moviyana Film Society, confirmed the death of Khasru.
He had contributed to the film society movement spanning over five decades by playing many roles including writer, editor and organiser.
He had been suffering from heart and lung ailments.
