Final round of inter-university debating championship held at EWU

The final round of the inter-university debating championship titled 'Debate for the Freedom of Mind' was held at East West University (EWU) in the city Thursday, reports BSS.
The EWU secured the first position in the Bangla competition while in the English competition, London College of Legal Studies grabbed the top position.
Professor Shariff Enamul Kabir, vice-chancellor of Jahangirnagar University, attended the function as the chief guest.
Dr Mohammed Farash-uddin, president of Board of Trustees of EWU, among others, was also present.
A total of 70 teams from different universities of the country took part in the championship.
Jahangirnagar University became runners-up in the Bangla event while Institute of Business Administration (IBA) of Dhaka University became runners-up in the English event of the championship.
