Financial assets of 'capital market must be enhanced'

Prime Minister's Economic Affairs Adviser Dr Mashiur Rahman has said the financial assets of the capital market must be enhanced and the risk of investments should be kept at a tolerable level.
The adviser said this in his address as chief guest after inaugurating the DSE Training Academy in the city Tuesday.
"The investors should be poised to keep pace with the risk of their investments in the capital market," he said.
Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Chairman Zia-ul Haq Khandaker said the awareness-raising training in the academy will play a very important role in the present perspective of the capital market.
"The investors should make investments considering the overall situation of the capital market," Khandaker said.
"To create awareness among the investors some advertisements will be aired in Bangladesh Betar and Bangladesh Television within a very short time," he added.
The DSE Training Academy has launched its operation to train up the people who come to invest in the capital market from various levels of the country.
Two SEC members, Mansur Alam and Yasin Ali, DSE President Md Rakibur Rahman, SEC Excutive Director Mohammad Abdul Hannan Zoardar, DSE Senior Vice-President Saiful Islam and DSE Chief Executive Officer Satipati Moitra were also present in the inaugural ceremony.
