Finland to send trade delegation soon

Finland will soon send a high-power trade and investment delegation in Dhaka to explore the areas of opportunities as the Nordic country wants to strengthen trade ties with Bangladesh. Finland President Sauli Niinistö conveyed it when Bangladesh Ambassador to Sweden and Nordic countries – Denmark, Finland, Iceland and Norway – M Golam Sarwar met the President to present his credentials. The Bangladesh envoy described the opportunities that exist in Bangladesh for further enhancing trade and investment. He also upheld the current state of business operation in Bangladesh by companies from Sweden, Denmark and Norway. The Finland President was convinced to send a trade and investment delegation to Bangladesh considering the stable political environment and progress in the areas of infrastructure development. Meanwhile, Golam Sarwar held meetings with the Finland Foreign Secretary and prominent business leaders and entrepreneurs and discussed the possible areas of cooperation, according to a message received in Dhaka on Friday night.
