Fire at Ashuganj Power Station

BRAHMANBARIA, Mar 20:  A fire broke out at the Ashuganj Power Station Company Limited here on Friday afternoon.  M Sazzadur Rahman, director (Technical) of the power station, said the fire erupted at a transformer of the substation around 3pm.  On information, firefighters rushed in and doused the blaze around 4:45pm, said Monirul Huda, duty officer at Ashuganj Fire Service.  Meanwhile, production at two units of the power station remained suspended following the fire incident.     — UNB
