Fire at chemical godown in city

A devastating fire broke out at a house at Nawabpur in the city's Old Dhaka on Saturday night. The fire broke out on the 4th floor that housed a chemical godown containing gas cylinders, said local residents. Fire Service duty officer (inspector) Farhaduzzaman said 20 units were trying to put out the blaze. The cause of the fire could not be known immediately. On the ground floor of the house there is a hardware shop. — FE Desk
