Fire at city building

The fire that broke out in a building near the kitchen market of Hatirpool in the capital just before iftar on Thursday was brought under control.
An official at the Fire Service and Civil Defence central office told the FE that the fire originated on the second floor of the six-storey building at 6:04pm.
Being informed nine fire-fighters' units rushed to the spot and the fire was brought under control at 8:37 pm.
The building houses a carpet warehouse. The firefighters rescued four stranded people from the roof of the building.
As there are no windows in the building, the firefighters were forced to break down walls to enter the building. The reason behind the fire could not be known immediately.
