Fire at city plastic factory

A fire broke out at a plastic factory in Old Dhaka’s Lalbagh area on Friday night. Fire Service control room duty officer Enayet Hossain told bdnews24.com the fire had started around 8:30pm at the factory beside the Rahmatganj playground. No casualties have been reported immediately, said both police and fire brigade sources. Seven fire-fighting units were working to douse the flames, Hossain said. Chawkbazar Police Station Sub-Inspector Hasibul Hasan said several adjoining houses were also damaged in the fire.
