Fire at DAE building

A fire broke out Saturday at the sixth floor of seven- storied building of the Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE) at Khamarbari at Farmgate in the capital.
"The fire originated at around 4:20 pm from a burning cigarette butt on garbage piled up near the windows at the sixth floor of the building," duty officer of the Fire Service and Civil Defense Bhajan Kumar Sarker told the FE on the day.
"Five Fire Service units rushed to the spot and controlled the fire at 4: 38 pm," he said.
He, however, said the fire did not cause any damage.
