Fire at Jatrabari furniture shop doused

The fire incident that occurred at a furniture shop at Jatrabari in the capital on Friday was brought under control by the fire service.
Duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence Russel Sikder said the fire incident erupted at the shop at around 2:07 pm near Malancha Community Centre in the area.
Six firefighting units rushed to the spot and managed to douse the flame at around 2:57 pm.
A firefighter named Khairul Islam received injuries while extinguishing the blaze.
The cause of fire was yet to be ascertained.
Russel Sikder , however, said the extent of financial loss in the fire could be ascertained after investigation.
