Fire at Matuail packaging factory tamed

A fire incident that occurred at a packaging factory in Matuail College Road area of the capital on Thursday morning was brought under control after five hours' frantic efforts.
Duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defense Rozina Akter told The FE that a fire erupted inside the packaging unit around 7:35 am on the day.
Six units of firefighters rushed to the spot and managed to tame the blaze at 12:45pm. However, there was no report of casualties.
The extent of financial losses due to the fire could be ascertained after the ongoing investigation, Rozina Akter said.
