Fire at Mirpur slum

A fire has broken out in a slum at Mirpur in Dhaka city. Mirpur Police Station’s sub-inspector Afzal Hossain said that firefighters rushed to the spot after being informed of it around 12.30pm on Tuesday. Seven fire-service units were fighting the blaze that broke out at the Janata Housing City Colony slum. The origin of the fire could not be ascertained as of 2:09pm, nor any casualty report was received till then, according to a bdnews24.com.
