Fire breaks out at Baitul Mukarram

A fire broke out at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque in Paltan-Motijheel area in Dhaka city on Sunday. Sources at Fire Service and Civil Defence Control Room said the fire broke in an abandon Aujukhana (place for ablution) near the south gate of the mosque around 4:20pm. Being informed, five fire-fighting units rushed to the spot but local people had extinguished the blaze before the team reached there. However, no casualties were reported, according to a news agency.
