Fire breaks out at poultry farm

THAKURGAON, Dec 24 (UNB): A devastating fire broke out at a poultry firm at Pirganj Upazila of the district Friday.
Local people said the fire originated from an electric short circuit in Kazi Grand Parent's poultry farm and damaged different machinery and eggs.
Manager of the farm Tozammel Hossain said that the fire damaged machinery worth Tk 5.0 million. But he could not immediately estimate damage of eggs by the fire.
The fire was extinguished after hour-long frantic effort.
