Fire breaks out at sweater factory in Tongi

A fire broke out at a sweater factory on Sataish Road of the city’s Tongi area on Saturday afternoon. Fire service officials said the fire originated on the third floor of ‘SA Sweater Factory’ around 5:30pm and it soon raged through the fourth floor of the six-storey building. On information, four firefighting units from Gazipur and Tongi rushed to the spot and they were trying to douse the blaze till filing of this report at 6:15pm. The reason behind the fire could not be known yet, according to a news agency.
