Fire breaks out at Youngone in CEPZ

CHITTAGONG, May 17: A fire broke out at the Youngone Corporation, a giant readymade garment (RMG) maker, in the Chittagong Export Processing Zone (CEPZ) early on Sunday. Fire fighters in the EPZ area said the fire broke out from an electric short circuit at around 3.45 am. Fire fighters of three units brought the fire under control by around 7.00 am, they said. A large quantity of garments stored in the store room on the fourth floor of the building was damaged.
