Fire burns down 6 structures in city

At least six makeshift structures, including 2 rickshaw garages, were gutted by a fire that broke out inside Korail slum at Mohakhali in Dhaka city on Friday morning. Fire Service control room sources said the fire originated from an electric short circuit in a small structure around 4:44am. Eight firefighting units rushed to the spot from different firs stations in the city and doused the blaze at about 6:00am, said Inspector Shahjadi Sultana of the fire service control room. Inspector Shahjadi said two rickshaw garages, two grocery shops, one restaurant, a tea stall and a dwelling house burnt down in the incident. However, no casualty was reported in the fire incident, firefighters and local people said, according to a news agency.
