Fire burns to ashes 1,200 maunds jute

Abut 1,200 maunds of jute were gutted by a fire that broke out at a jute warehouse at Singair upazila in Manikganj on Thursday. Witnesses said the fire erupted at a tin-shed jute warehouse at Charigram village at about 1:00 pm and spread soon. Being informed, fire fighting units rushed in and doused the flame after one hour of frantic efforts. However, no causality was reported, according to UNB.
