Fire guts 6 shops in Laxmipur

Six business establishments were gutted by a fire in Post Office area of the district town early Sunday. Fire Service officials said the fire originated from electric shot circuit at a shop in the area at the dead of  night and soon engulfed to five adjoining shops. Being informed, fire fighters rushed to the spot and doused the flame after one hour of frantic efforts. The affected shop owners claimed that the loss caused by the fire would be Tk 5.0 million, according to a news agency.
