Fire guts apparels, machinery of sweater factory in city

Huge apparels and valuable machinery were gutted when a devastating fire broke out at a sweater factory in the city's Badda Satarkul area early Saturday. Local people said the fire broke out at Rahmat Garments at about 1:45 am and soon engulfed the entire factory. Later, on information 14 fire fighting units of four fire stations of the city rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control at about 3:40 am. —UNB
