Fire guts tailoring shops

A fire gutted several tailoring shops at Narail Sadar Upazila on Sunday. The burned to ashes clothes and sewing machines worth Tk 1.2 million, the shop owners and fire service officials said. They said the fire originated in a shop at Chilatola Bazaar around 2:00am. The fire engulfed three adjoining tailoring shops burning sewing machines, embroidery machines and clothes. Being informed, two fire fighting units from Narail rushed to the spot and doused the fire after 1 hour of hectic efforts around 3:00am, according to a news agency.
