Fire guts valuables at Noakhali land office

Important documents at the land office in Sadar upazila of Noakhali were destroyed when a fire broke out in the office building Sunday morning.
Maijdee Fire Station Station leader Muhammad Rafique Ullah said the fire might have been originated from an electric short circuit at the office building at around 10 am.
Informed, two firefighting units rushed to the spot and doused the blaze after 20 minutes of frantic efforts.
Later, Deputy Commissioner Munir Ferdous visited the spot along with other officials.
Land office officials said important documents, computer, photocopy machine and other valid materials and equipments were gutted in the fire.
