Firearms seized from Ctg Shibir office

CHITTAGONG, Oct 8 (BSS): Detective Branch (DB) of Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) recovered a light gun (LG) and a cartridge from Chittagong head office of Bangladesh Islami Chhattra Shibir (ICS) on Friday night. Assistant Commissioner of DB Abdullah Al Mahmood led a three-hour drive in the ICS office at city's West Bakalia area at around 11 pm and recovered the fire arms and posters demanding release of Jamaat-Shibir leaders. DB during the drive took Badiur Rahman, office clerk of Jamaat's Chittagong office, who was arrested for his involvement in police attack at Muradpur area on September 29. Police, however, could not arrest anybody during the drive. A case is filed in this connection.
