Firing on AL men: 15 cops face punitive action

Punitive action was taken against some 15 policemen of Cox’s Bazar Sadar Model Police Station over Friday’s firing on the ruling party men. Of them, 11 policemen, including an assistant sub-inspector, were suspended while four others, including three sub-inspectors, closed to the district police lines over the firing incident. Confirming the incident, additional police super of Cox’s Bazar Tofail Ahmed on Sunday said a probe committee, headed by Additional District Magistrate SM Shah Habibur Rahman Hakim, has also been formed to look into the matter, according to a news agency.
