Jatiya Party presidium member Kazi Firoz Rashid, MP, on Sunday urged the government to give chance to the investors to invest ‘black money’. Speaking on point of order in the Jatiya Sangsad (parliament), Firoz, also a former state minister, said: ‘There is no money which can be marked as black. The money that we call black, converts into white after it is trafficked or laundered.’ He said for the sake of economic development, the investors should be given chance to invest their money whether it is ‘black’, he said. On May 8, Finance Minister AMA Muhith while addressing the 35th meeting of the National Board of Revenue (NBR)’s advisory committee at Hotel Sonargaon, said there will be no more chance for converting black money into white. The sitting of the 10th JS resumed at 11:09am today with Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury in the chair. The current session began on June 3, according to a news agency.
