First batch of hajj pilgrims leaves for Jeddah

The first batch of Bangladeshi pilgrims left here Friday afternoon for Jeddah to perform holy hajj. Chief Adviser Fakhruddin Ahmed formally inaugurated the operation of hajj flights of Biman Bangladesh Airlines from the Zia International Airport (ZIA). A Boeing 747 aircraft carrying 512 pilgrims took off from ZIA at about 4:00pm.
