First Security Islami Bank Limited has been made member of the Central Shariah Board for Islamic Banks of Bangladesh (CSBIB).
The decision was made at the 19th meeting of the Executive Committee (EC) of CSBIB held in the city Monday, said a press release.
CSBIB EC Chairman Shah Abdul Hannan presided over the meeting.
Among others, Vice-chairman Muhamad Mustafizur Rahman, Secretary General Md Mukhlesur Rahman, noted Islamic banking consultant M Azizul Huq and Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited (SJIBL) Managing Director Mohammad Ali were present at the meeting.
The board also approved yearly plan of the CSBIB for the year 2009-10, the release added.
