Fish trader chopped to death in Khulna

A fish trader was chopped to death at Ramnagar village under Rupsha Upazila in Khulna district on Wednesday night. The deceased was identified as Zalil Fakir, 42, owner of Sabuz Fish Depot and son of late Rahim Fakir, resident of Ramnagar village. Locals and police said, a gang of miscreants hacked Zalil indiscriminately at around 11,30pm while he was returning home by motorcycle from his fish depot. Quoting relatives of the deceased, Officer-in-Charge of Rupsha Police Station Mesbauddin said, at least three masked wearing miscreants with sharp weapon riding by a motorcycle chopped his neck and head and quickly left the place. He was rushed to Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMCH) where the doctor declared him dead, according to a news agency.
