Fish trader killed in Sirajganj crash

A fish trader was killed and seven others were injured in a road accident in Tarash upazila in Sirajganj on Monday morning. The deceased was identified as Dipuk, 35, son of Taleb of Beparipara of Sirajganj town. Police and locals said the accident took place around 5.00am when a speeding truck hit a Sirajganj town-bound pick up van carrying eight fish traders, including Dipuk, on Hatikumrul-Bonpara Highway near Mohishlati Bazar, leaving Dipuk dead on the spot and seven other fish traders injured. On information, police rushed to the spot and recovered the body. The injured were rushed to Sirajganj Sadar Hospital, according to UNB.
