Fitra fixed at Tk 40 per head

Fitra has been fixed at Tk 40 per head this year. Islamic Foundation at its meeting Tuesday fixed the Sadqatul Fitra. The meeting was presided over by Khatib of Baitul Mukarram Mosque Maulana Mohammad Salahuddin. The Fitra of Tk 40 has been fixed for Dhaka and adjacent areas, taking into consideration the price of rice and 'ata'. It said the Fitra for other parts of the country should be given taking into account the price of rice or 'ata' in respective areas. Fitra is 'wajib' and should be paid to the needy for all members of the family before the Eid Jamaat.
