Five Ansar Al Islam members held in city

Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit of Dhaka Metropolitan Police on Saturday arrested five members, including its Nayab Amir Kabir of banned militant outfit Ansar Al Islam from Jatrabari area, reports UNB.
The arrested were identified as - Sakhawatul Kabir alias Anis alias Rafiq,45, Ihsanur Rahman alias Murad alias Saif, 26, Bakhtiar Rahman alias Nazmul,30, Usuf Ali Sarker, 31 and Jahadul Islam alias Ashraf, 35.
Md. Asaduzzaman, Additional Police Commissioner, CTTC, DMP disclosed this at a press conference at Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Media centre Sunday.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of CTTC police conducted a drive in Jatrabari area and arrested the members of the banned militant outfit.
The CTTC team also recovered two foreign pistols and 15 round of bullet from their possession.
