Five burned to death in Ctg fire

CHITTAGONG, Feb 1: Five members of a family were burnt alive in a devastating fire at their mud-made house in village Guman Mordan in Hathazari Upazila in the early hours today. The ill-fated deceased are Raju Akhtar (35), wife of rickshaw puller Babul Miah and their four children - Saiful Islam (10), Sathi Moni (5), Shamsul Islam (3) and Sakibul Islam (6 months). Fire office said the fire originated from the kitchen of Babul Miah and quickly spread to the adjacent houses owned by his two brothers at around 12:30am at Ibrahim Chowdhury Para.
