Five-day BSCIC spring fair begins today

A five-day long spring fair and handicraft exhibition, organised by the Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC), begins today (Sunday) at the BSCIC Bhaban at Motijheel in the capital to promote handicraft business.
The Design Centre of BSCIC is organising the event on the occasion of the Independence and National Day. It will continue up to March 26.
BSCIC chairman Ashraf Mohammad Iqbal will inaugurate the five-day exhibition as the chief guest.
During the inaugural programme, the chief guest will also distribute certificates among 40 trainees who took part in the three-month BSCIC training programme.
Entrepreneurs, over 90 per cent of them women, will participate in the fair to showcase their products in 60 stalls. The products include fabrics with block, boutique and embroidery, jute and leather items.
