Five die in Sirajganj road accident

A collision between two buses and a truck has left at least five people killed in Tarash Upazila in Sirajganj district. Police fear the death toll may rise. The accident occurred in Khalkula area on Natore-Bonparha Highway around 10:30pm on Tuesday, Tarash Police Station OC Aminul Islam said.
An unspecified number of people were injured in the mishap, he said. Hatikumrul Highway Police and a unit of Bangladesh Fire Service and Civil Defence, Sirajganj, were called in for the rescue operation, which continued till midnight, he added, according to a news agency.
