Five held with 64 kg of hashish

Law enforcers in separate drives arrested five alleged drug traders and recovered a total of 64 kg of hashish from the capital.
A police official of Darus Salam Police Station in Mirpur said a team of the Detective Branch (DB) of Police arrested four drug traders in Gabtoli area on Thursday.
He said 2500 Yaba tablets and 30 kg of hashish were recovered from their possession.
The arrestees were identified as Md Rahmat Chowdhury (40), Md Tariqul Islam (35), Md Abdul Alim (35) and Nurul Kabir (49).
A case was filed against them with the police station under the Drug Control Act.
One drug trader was arrested in another drive with 34 kg of hashish in the capital's Jatrabari area.
The arrestee was identified as Md Elahi Sheikh (28).
A police official at Jatrabari Police Station said acting on a tip-off a team of the DMP's Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit arrested him.
Md Elahi Sheikh used to procure hashish from different parts of the country.
A case was filed against him with the concerned police station.
