Five JS candidates vow to help hold peaceful polls

BHOLA, Dec 26 (BSS): In a show of unity, five candidates vying for the Bhola-5 constituency in the district stood on the same platform and vowed for helping hold a peaceful election and working for development of the district.
The candidates including those from BNP-led four-party alliance and Awami League-led grand alliance nominees, expressed identical views that they would work together for protecting the district from river erosion, setting up new industries and resisting post- election violence to make the district a model for others.
They made the pledge at a function organised by Nagorik Somaj at Kabi Mozammel Haque Town Hall Friday.
Four-party alliance nominee Barrister Andalib Rahman Partho, Grand alliance nominee Advocate Yousuf Hossain Humayan, Islami Andolon nominee Mohammad Anisul Haque, Ganofront nominee Krisak Mohammad Sadek and independent nominee Tapan Cakrabarti were the candidates.
Executive Director of non-government organisation, Coast Trust, Mohammad Rezaul Karim Reza, Editor of Banglar Kantha Habibur Rahman and Editor of the Daily Azker Bhola Shaokat Hossain, Mayor of Bhola Golam Nabi Alamgir and Principal Dulal Chandra Ghosh were present, among others, on the occasion.
