Five killed as bridal party bus skids off road in Natore

NATORE, Aug 16: Five people were killed and five others injured when a microbus, carrying a bridal party from Dhaka, plunged into the roadside water at Tebaria in the district town here Friday afternoon. Four of the deceased were identified as Lipi (20), Dudu (42), Wahid (30), and Rabbi (12). The identity of another could not be immediately known. All the deceased hailed from Mirpur in the capital. The police quoting local sources said the accident occurred on the Natore-Rajshahi bypass road at about 2:45 pm as the driver of the Rajshahi-bound microbus lost control over the steering.
