Five killed, four injured in separate road mishaps

GOPALGANJ, Oct 20 (UNB): Four people were killed and four others injured in road mishaps in different districts Friday.
In Gopalganj, a mother and her two sons were killed in a collision between a private car and a human hauler at Kashiani Upazila on Khulna-Dhaka Highway Friday night.
The deceased were identified as Latifa Begum (45), wife of Abdur Rahim of Khulna, and her sons-- engineer Jitu Rahman (28) and Mishu Rahman (15).
They were going to Dhaka from Khulna when tragedy befell the family.
In Chandpur, a rickshaw-puller was killed and four others were injured when a truck rammed two rickshaws at Udamdi village under Matlab South Upazila Friday.
Local people rushed Arshad Ali to the Sadar Hospital where the duty doctors declared him dead.
In another incident a minor boy was crushed under the wheels of a motor vehicle at Hajiganj town on Chandpur-Comilla highway Thursday.
Separate cases were filed in this connection with the police stations.
