Five people die in Cumilla, Bhola road accidents

CUMILLA, May 05 (UNB): Two workers were killed and two others injured when a truck overturned on the Dhaka-Chattogram Highway in Chouddagram upazila early Sunday.
Of the deceased, Mamtaz Mia, 50, was a resident of Sadar upazila while the other victim, Bacchu Mia hailed from Uttar Digholdi in Bhola district.
The injured were taken to a local hospital.
Police recovered the bodies and sent them to a local hospital for autopsy.
Meanwhile, BSS adds: In Bhola, three people were killed as a truck overturned in Char Newton area of Char Fassion upazila in the district on Saturday night.
The deceased were identified as truck driver Abu Jaher, 25, son of Sirajul Islam of Nilphamari district, helper Anwar, 15, son of late Dulal of Char Newton village and another person who was on truck Jahidul Islam, 16, son of Yousuf Ali of nearby Char Madras village.
The truck driver Jaher and its helper Anwar died on the spot while Jahidul was declared dead by the duty doctor when he was rushed to a local hospital, he said.
The bodies were sent to the Bhola Sadar Hospital overnight for autopsy, the OC said.
