Five players move to 2nd round in men's singles

Five players advanced to the second round of the men's singles in the Dhaka Open Tennis tournament winning their first round matches on the third day of the six-day meet at the Ramna National Tennis Complex in the city Saturday, reports UNB.
In the day's matches, Luxman Lal of American Club beat Zakir Hossain of Uttara Club 7-5, 6-4; Dipu Lal of Nordic Club defeated Mazharul Islam of National Tennis Complex 7-5, 6-2; Delwar Hossain of National Tennis Complex outplayed Anwar Hossain of British Club 6-3, 6-3; Monir Hossain of Japanese Club beat Mahmudul Haque of National Tennis Complex 7-5, 6-4; while Sabbir Hossain of BKSP beat Nurul Islam of Bogra Club 2-6, 6-2, 6-2.
Besides, nine boys' singles matches of 16 years and 13 years age group were also decided Saturday.
