Five robbers held in Sherpur

Police arrested five highway robbers including a ringleader at Shimultoli diversion on Sherpur-Jamalpur highway early Monday while taking preparation to commit robbery. Police nabbed notorious ringleader of Morakandi area of sadar upazila Ajad alias ZKalu Dakat,30 and his associates-Mobarak Ali,22, Idris Ali, 45, Miskin,30 and Monir,25 along with five sharp weapons at about 3am. Acting on secret information DB police and sadar thana police arrested the bandits when they were taking preparation to commit robbery from different vehicles by putting barricade on the road.
