The flood situation of Sylhet, Sunamganj and Moulvibazar is likely to deteriorate due to heavy rainfall over some places of north-eastern parts of Bangladesh and the adjoining parts of India Wednesday, reports BSS.
Due to onrush of flood water from upstream(Assam and Meghalaya, India)- the Kushiyara at Amalshid, Sheola and Sherpur and the Surma at Kanaighat, Sylhet and Sunamganj are still flowing above their respective danger levels for last few days, a press release of Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre(FFWC) said WednesÂday.
The FFWC monitored water levels at 73 stations out of which 22 recorded rise and 49 stations recorded fall across the country. Water level of one station has remained steady while water level at six stations is above danger level, it added.
