Flood situation in Sylhet, Sunamganj improves

Flood situation in Sylhet and Sunamganj districts is gradually improving and this trend is likely to continue during the next 24 hours, a press release of the Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) stated Sunday, reports BSS.
Due to the effect of continued rainfall during the last few days at many places of north-eastern parts of the country and the adjoining parts of India, the Kushiyara at Sherpur, the Amalshid and Sheola and the Surma at Kanaighat, Sylhet and Sunamganj are still flowing above their respective danger levels.
