Flyover in Ctg to be constructed with RubyCement

The first flyover in Chittagong city is going to be constructed with RubyCement. Bengal Development Corporation Ltd, a sister concern of Islam Group, is the construction contractor of the elevated road, says a press release.
Bengal Development Director Badrul Hasan Khan and HeidelbergCement Bangladesh Ltd Director (Marketing, Sales & IT) Ramakanta Bhattacharjee signed an agreement recently to use Rubycement exclusively in the construction of the flyover.
Bengal Development Corporation Executive Director Ahsanuzzaman and HeidelbergCement Marketing and Sales Manager Quazi Shafayet Hossain were also present at the signing ceremony.
Chittagong Port Trade Facilitates Project is going to construct the 987-meter flyover, which would connect the New-Mooring Container Terminal (NMCT) and the newly built Port Access Road.
The flyover project would be completed within stipulated time of 2009-2010 fiscal. The elevated way would highly facilitate the port users as well as the commuters with smoother traffic movement in the port and lessen the traffic congestion at Saltgola Crossing Road, port connecting road and other adjacent roads.
