FMCH interns join work

Friday, 7 March 2014

Health services at Faridpur Medical College Hospital (FMCH) resumed Friday noon as interns joined their work ending a five-day strike demanding the arrest of attackers of a colleague. Dr Saifuzzahan Rabi, president of FMCH Intern Doctors Association, confirmed their joining work and threatened to go for tougher movement unless the assailants are arrested within 72 hours. On March 1, family members of a patient at the hospital assaulted an intern doctor, following the patient’s death. Angered by the incident, the intern doctors started a 5-day work abstention at the 500-bed FMCH demanding the arrest of the attackers, halting health services that caused immense sufferings to the patients, according to UNB.
