Wednesday, 15 September 2021

A new book titled "The Foreign Policy of the Twenty-First Century: Development and Leadership" by Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen has been launched, reports UNB.
The book is a collection of essays, speeches, statements, interviews - both in Bengali and English - by the foreign minister and published by Nymphea Publication.
The publication features foreign policy issues, including Bangladesh's presence in the international arena since 1971; external relations, and participation in international organisations.
Also, the book discusses the foreign policy of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman - "friendship to all and malice towards none." Based on this principle, Bangabandhu wanted to build Bangladesh as a peaceful country - "the Switzerland of the East."
According to Dr Momen, humans and water are vital resources for Bangladesh, but they can backfire if not used in the right way.
