FOBANA conference in NY from Aug 29

The Federation of Bangladeshi Associations in North America, widely called as FOBANA, will be held in the United States from August 29. FOBANA leaders said this at a press conference in the city on Sunday. They said the three-day conference will be held in New York City on August 29-31. The speakers at the press conference also placed a set of demands to the government, include voting rights for the expatriates and a seat in the Parliament for them. Besides, they demanded that the government take steps to continue the Dhaka-New York flights. FOBANA Bangladesh Convention president Atikur RJ Yousuf Zai, convener Hasanuzzaman, Awlad Hossian Khan and Dr Jasim Uddin Ahmed addressed, among others, according to a press release.
