Folk music festival held in Pabna

PABNA, Dec 1: A folk music festival titled 'Baul Mon' was held in Pabna town hall premises Thursday night organised by 'Jhonkar Shilpo Goshthi' to generate the spirit of folk music among the people of the society. A discussion was featured on the occasion.
President of the organisation Ashraf Ali chaired the programme while addressed among others Abdur Razzak, adviser of the organisation, young entrepreneurs Ali Mortuza Biswas Sony, Ruhul Amin Bishwas Rana, Ashraf Ali Khan. The speakers focused the role of folk culture in Bangla.
Folk music plays vital role in Bangla music. Folk music comes out from the traditional rural life. In early ages the artists recited the traditional lifestyle in music. Through this music people come to learn the reality of life," the speakers said.
