Folk singer Bari Siddiqui passes away

Noted folk singer and music composer Bari Siddiqui died at a city hospital on Friday. He was 63, reports UNB.
He breathed his last at Square Hospitals around 2:30 am, Shabbir Siddiqui, son of Bari Siddiqui, said.
Bari Siddiqui, who had been suffering from kidney-related complications for a couple of years, was admitted to the hospital on Friday night after he fell unconscious following chest pain.
Two namaz-e-janazas were held on the premises of Dhaka University Central Mosque and Bangladesh Television in the morning.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed deep shock at the demise of Bari Siddiqui. In a condolence message, the PM recalled the outstanding contributions of Bari Siddiqui towards enriching the country's folk songs.
