‘Follow PM's patriotism for country's betterment’

RANGPUR, Feb 10 (BSS): Chief Coordinator (SDG Affairs) at the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) Md Abul Kalam Azad has called for following example of patriotism and hard work of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for betterment of the country.
"We have to participate in the struggles for developing the country under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina," Azad said at a launching function of 'SOPNOKURI' resource centre in Kurigram on Saturday as the chief guest, said a press release.
The Kurigram district administration inaugurated the resource centre at the function held at its 'SOPNOKURI' auditorium with the slogan 'Never Stop Dreaming, Unveil Your Potential' under the UNICEF assistance.
The resource centre is expected to promote development dialogues in Kurigram and awareness raising programmes on health, nutrition, education, child protection and ending child labour, child marriage and dowry in the district.
With Deputy Commissioner of Kurigram Sultana Pervin in the chair, Rangpur and Rajshahi Divisional Chief of the UNICEF Najibullah Hameem addressed the function as special guest.
Additional Secretary (SDG Affairs) at the PMO Mokammel Haque, Kurigram Police Super Mehedul Karim, Deputy Director (Local Government) Rafikul Islam, Civil Surgeon Dr Aminul Islam and Kurigram Press Club President Ahsan Habib Nilu spoke the function.
Deputy Commissioner Sultana Pervin discussed objectives of launching 'SOPNOKURI' resource centre to inspire children, adolescents and youths of Kurigram for empowering themselves through education, entrepreneurship and enlightenment.
Thanking the UNICEF for extending support in establishing 'SOPNOKURI' resource centre, she hoped that the centre would become a companion of the people in changing their fortune and urged everyone to come forward for development of Kurigram.
Najibullah Hameem appreciated the Kurigram district administration for establishing 'SOPNOKURI' resource centre that can strengthen local government to better coordinate child focused development programmes in the district.
